Maritime Gift Shop
Each year we search for special indigenous Nova Scotia gifts ideas. Situated adjacent to our main Lobby, you’ll discover a unique and reasonably priced selection of souvenirs, clothing and wonderful keepsakes of your visit to Silver Dart Lodge and Cape Breton. Snacks, cold drinks and newspapers are also available.
Currency Exchange
American currency is readily accepted as payment for services at the rate of the day. Other non-Canadian currencies should be exchanged at a local bank.

If you have forgotten an essential toiletry item, or need the use of an ironing board, we have a full list of amenities for your convenience. Please contact Guest Services at the front desk.
Support Services
Mail, photocopy, fax service, VCR, flip chart are available based on availability. Advance notice is required to arrange for use of equipment.
Travel and Tourist Information
Our front desk keeps a portfolio of local events and attractions so you can truly enjoy Baddeck and the surrounding area. Please ask one of our Guest Services Representatives for assistance, or visit the Baddeck Visitors’ Information Center on Chebucto Street in Baddeck. We have put together a Cabot Trail Touring Guide exclusively for our guests, to help you discover what the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Island have to offer. Be sure to ask for your copy at the front desk.
Recreational Facilities
Basketball Practice Net
Get ready for your Raptors tryout! Located above the pool; basketballs are located below the net.
Boat Cruises
Numerous sailboats and powerboats offer cruises on the Bras d’Or Lakes from the village of Baddeck. Our front desk staff will be happy to help you make arrangements for the boat cruise of your choice.
Fitness Equipment
A limited array of exercise equipment is located at the pool house.
Indoor Games and Novels
We have a few favourite in--house games such as cribbage, checkers, dominos and cards that may be picked up at the front desk. Please feel free to play these games in our Observation Lounge. A variety of pocket novels are also available in the lower lobby.
Mountain Bikes
These are available for your enjoyment and are located just below the pool. For your safety mandatory bike helmets are available at the front desk. In consideration of other guests, please limit the use of the bikes to one hour.
Movies and VCR/DVD Players
VCR/DVD players and a selection of movies can be borrowed from the Guest Services at the front desk, based on availability.
Nature/Walking Trails
Take a leisurely walk along our trails and become captivated by the beauty of the local flora and unique wildlife. Sit awhile and rest at the beautiful gazebo on the Waterfront walking trail.
Playground Facility
Great activities to keep the children busy!
Observation Deck
Viewing binoculars are available on our spacious deck overlooking the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes.
Swimming Pool
Our pool is located just above our Main Lodge and is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.. Pool towels are available at no charge from the front desk and sunscreen is available for purchase. Please leave towels in the hamper at the pool house.
CHILDREN UNDER 12 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. PLEASE NOTE: SWIMMING IS UNSUPERVISED.
Waterfront
Our private waterfront is located down the trail, across the road from the property entrance. There is a gazebo on the waterfront as well as a dock.
